When You Arrive
Please plan for 1-2 hours for a new patient visit. When you arrive, you will be greeted by a receptionist and instructed to sign in. After filling out any necessary forms, a technician or the doctor will bring you into an exam room. Using our advanced electronic health record system, we will record a detailed medical history, including any current systemic and/or ophthalmic medications. Then, we will check visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and perform a Schirmer’s test (Dry Eye Test). Additional tests may be required, depending on the reason for your visit. If you are here for ptosis (droopy upper eyelids), you will need visual field testing and photographs. The visual field testing will show if vision is impaired by excess upper eyelid skin. Patients being seen for Graves’ orbitopathy, orbital tumor, orbital trauma will need stereo and color testing. Please bring your orbital X-rays, if you had them performed. After the review of medical history and comprehensive diagnostic tests, you will be ready to be seen by one of our top doctors at Eyesthetica to address your needs.
